Day in and day out you might hear the news of frauds happening within the country as well as in international circuit. Here is one such news about the social security fraud in Jajarkot District of Nepal. The social security fund that is allocated for the senior citizens was embezzled by the VDC secretary. He used to forge the signature and documents to embezzle the social security funds provided by the government. Unearthing of such fraud was only possible through the use of RTI (Right to Information Act) filed by Ganesh Baniya. It is such a pity on the part of the nation that despite the efforts put in by the government to uplift the standard of people and to create a steady progress there comes many hindrances as such. Its the lesson the authorities concerned should take to not let such incidents happen in future.
