Nepali Congress lawmakers today urged party leadership to take initiative to construct an all-party alliance or the alliance of two-thirds majority under the NC’s leadership to address the national problems and implement the new constitution. Speaking today at Parliamentary Party meeting held at parliament building in New Baneshwor, the party’s lawmakers urged the party President Sher Bahadur Deuba to try and form a national consensus government under the NC’s leadership, according to NC lawmaker Balkrishna Khand. “The government has failed at all fronts. As the largest party, the NC should make genuine attempt to forge broader consensus and deal with the national problems under its leadership,” Khand said. The government and all other parties should be serious to resolve national problems, Deuba told the meeting.
